YSA in Latin America I

| COMPANY | May 20, 2019 |

A trip to Mexico will not be complete without visiting one of the longest major distributors of Yamato in Latin America, Sumilab S.A. de C.V.  This 100% Mexican company which started in 1986 supplies materials and equipment to laboratories, clinics, universities, aquaculture, industrial, research centers and many more.   Currently, Sumilab has 6 offices in Mexico:  Culiacan, Mazatlán, Los Mochis, Obregon, Hermosillo and Torreon.

In Culiacan, the YSA Team, headed by President Yoichi Horie, joined by Customer Service Manager Sunshine Lastimosa and Marketing Manager Marivic Lastimosa, was warmly welcomed by President Victor Andres Favela Lopez, Sales Manager Luis Miguel Meza, Maria Kassandra Favela Armenta and other staff.  We were given a tour of the whole building which houses the reception area; showroom; individual offices of the President, Sales, Accounting and Maintenance staff; training room; conference room; warehouse; and shipping and receiving dock.

Sumilab President, Señor Victor Favela Lopez, was very gracious to invite us to visit their Mazatlán, Sinaloa branch which is a two-hour drive from Culiacan.  There we met Sales Manager Gabriela Favela, Jorge Espinoza Juarez and other staff.  We were also given a tour of the office which has almost the same layout as Culiacan’s.  Sumilab plans to further expand. Truly a testament that the company intends to strengthen its presence in Mexico even more to deliver quality products and services.

After our visit to both branches, the Sumilab Team drove us around the beautiful city of Mazatlán, that combines sun and beach with the architectural richness of its historic downtown.  Capping the visit was a sumptuous meal of seafood near the coast.  It was a short but memorable visit.
